You may get in touch if you are not sure whether your issue is something I can help you with
HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
I welcome referrals from GPs, practice nurses and women's health physiotherapists or any professional who feels their patient could benefit from my service. Referrals may be sent securely by email to sarah.cahill@healthmail.ie and I will get in touch with the patient.
Equally, your patients may self-refer and can book an appointment online.
Who should you refer to me:
GPs, you may wish to refer your menopausal patient who has a complicated background or isn't responding to HRT (but doesn't meet the criteria for the Complex Menopause Clinic), to get advice from someone who deals with this on a regular basis.
You might not offer coil or implanon insertion, or vaginal ring insertion, and I would be happy to provide that service.
Please note that I do not yet have a contract for the free contraception scheme but hope to have it in place in the coming months.
Practice nurses and women's health physiotherapists: You may feel your patient could benefit from a vaginal pessary for a pelvic organ prolapse or incontinence. Or you may have inserted a pessary and would like the patient to have a routine speculum examination.
