At LifeCycle Women's Health Clinic in Salthill, Galway, we understand the benefit and importance of continuous medication management for our patients’ health and wellbeing.

We offer a repeat prescription service designed to give patients an easy and efficient way of managing their contraceptive and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) prescriptions. And to ensure uninterrupted treatment and peace of mind for our patients.

How Our Repeat Prescription Service Works

​

• Initial Review: When you begin a new contraceptive treatment (pill, patch, or vaginal ring) or start HRT, we schedule a follow-up review at 3 months. This review can be conducted in person or over the phone to assess how you are responding to the medication. 

​

• Medication Adjustments: If your doctor needs to change your medication type or dosage, a further review may be scheduled after 3 months to monitor your response and make any necessary adjustments.
   

• Annual Review: An in-person review is required once a year to ensure your treatment is still working for you and to review any possible changes in your medical condition. A 12 month prescription can be issued during these appointments.

Interim Prescriptions

If an interim prescription is needed between reviews, we've made the process straightforward:

• Prescription Request: Please complete the prescription request form below at least 3 days before your current prescription runs out. Please include the name of the pharmacy where you would like your prescription sent.
   

• Processing Fee: There is a €20 charge for interim prescriptions. This can be paid over the phone or via bank transfer.
